Well - it has taken longer than I had expected, but the clinic is now operational. Most of the problem was that David and I hadn't realised just how much smaller this house is that our Christchurch one was - or maybe it was that we just hadn't appreciated how big our old house really was, so there's been a lot of, shall we say, editing (?) of our furniture etc. However, we are just loving it here - not least because of the wildlife. We've just seen our first family of 4 weka chicks grow to the point where they have been expelled from the nest by there mother, who shrieks and chases them away whenever she sees them. We suspect the parent birds are nesting again.
The weather here is lovely, the area is picturesque, we have lovely friends and neighbours, so really, we couldn't ask for more!!
Come and see us!

It's now only 4 weeks before the big move to Nelson and the preparation is beginning to gain pace. The letters to Nelson doctors, preschools and Plunket are being prepared and I anticipate that the clinic will open on September 14th. In the meantime, I am going through all of my resources and deciding which ones I will bring with me and what can be sold or thrown out. It's frightening how much a therapist can accumulate over 30 years!
If anyone is interested in buying any well-loved games and toys, please send me an email ([email protected]) and I'll send you a list of things I won't be keeping. I'm quite happy to bring them up with me to Nelson for you.
It's getting quite exciting!!
